Back Cove 33

The Ship of Fools is in excellent condition and has been well maintained. Sitting under cover and in fresh water, her claret red hull is polished and buffed to an incredible shine!

She is complete with electronics including bow and stern thrusters. Her single Cummins diesel engine has 480hp with only 797 hours.

The Back Cove 33 is a mid-sized yacht with the same simple features that Back Cove offers. Below deck is a large and comfortable v-berth and a convertible L-settee with a beautifully inlaid salon table. To starboard, they created a large head with separate shower stall.

Inside the climate controlled pilothouse, a full galley stretches out aft of the helm seat and to the port side is a dinette where four adults can sit to enjoy a meal. The inlaid table is a fine example of the Maine boat builder's craftsmanship and tradition, which is evident throughout the Back Cove 33. Forward of the dinette, a double mate's seat is a comfortable perch for the navigator. The pilothouse is airy and bright with overhead hatches, opening side windows and a center opening windshield. A Stidd helm chair provides comfort for the helmsman underway. In her cockpit, a large bench seat allows comfortable lounging while underway or when anchored in a peaceful cove.

Engine access is extraordinary, as the helm deck, including the port side dinette, raises to expose the yacht's mechanical systems. The ship's systems are powered by 30 amp shore-power and a Kohler 6 kW generator with 543 hours.
